For many years we have enjoyed searching for, creating, and sharing knowledge, beauty and connections with our students, colleagues, and clients, in different professional settings.
Marina is an Italian Studies scholar whose research spans from migration issues to the history of art, technology, and science, to the cultural, socioeconomic, and political value of food. She worked as an educator and administrator at several colleges and universities in the greater Philadelphia area for over 30 years and has been a member of several American and international scholarly association boards. She has extensive experience shaping and directing academic programs and intercultural exchanges, large conferences, and travel programs, locally and internationally.
Brian is a LEED accredited architect whose interests include issues of sustainability, technology and phenomenology in architecture. He worked as a practicing architect for over 30 years and as an educator for over 15 years, teaching architectural design studios as well as history and theory seminars at various universities in Philadelphia. He has extensive collaborative leadership experience and non-profit volunteering background. He has traveled nationally and internationally to explore architectural projects and has made Venice a primary focus of his research.
